Quick Facts
First Massage? What to expect.
To start, you will fill out an intake form either online or in person, we will then have a short interview to discuss your area(s) of concern, along with a few orthopaedic tests if necessary to help establish and help further the treatment benefit, we’ll then discuss the nature of treatment, draping, how to get on the table, and what to expect. Throughout the interview and treatment please ask questions, as this is your treatment.
Reception?
As it is just me in the office, I am my own receptionist, please take a card, book online, call or email!
Do you direct bill?
Not quite yet. Just working out the kinks, hopefully very shortly! As of right now I accept e-transfer, cash, debit, credit
Do you have a waitlist if I can’t find a time that works for me?
Absolutely! Once you’ve selected a treatment or therapist, scroll to the bottom of the booking calendar and look for the link that says “Can’t find a time? Add yourself to the waitlist.” From there, you can pick the days and times that work best for you, and we’ll reach out if a spot opens up.
Do you have evening appointments?
Yes I do! check out online booking to find one!
How about weekend appointments?
Yes, weekend appointments are available. Since they are popular, booking ahead is still recommended.
What about disrobing?
Before stepping out of the room, the practitioner will explain what level of undress would be ideal for the treatment, but you decide what you’re comfortable with. More access to the skin allows for more techniques, but it is never required. You will be covered by a sheet throughout the treatment, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered at any given time. Your body, your comfort, your treatment. If being fully undressed under the sheet feels right for you, that’s fine. If not, that’s fine too.
How long should I book my appointment for?
It really depends on what you’re hoping to get out of your visit. For your first appointment, we usually suggest 60–75 minutes so there’s plenty of time for a quick chat, any assessments needed, and of course lots of hands-on treatment. If you’re coming in for a follow-up and just want to focus on one area, 30–45 minutes is often enough. For a few areas of concern, 75 minutes works well. And if it’s more about general maintenance and feeling refreshed, 60–75 minutes is perfect.
